The HushJet Mini Cool features a brushless DC motor operating at 65,000 revolutions per minute, capable of generating airflows reaching up to 55 miles per hour. This output can be adjusted to optimize battery duration and reduce operational noise.
The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to six hours of use, according to the manufacturer. On its lowest setting, the fan operates at 52 dBA, which is comparable to a typical floor fan or air conditioner. When set to its maximum output, designated as Boost Mode, the noise level increases to 72.5 dBA.
All internal components, including the motor and battery, are housed within a cylindrical body measuring 38mm in diameter. This compact form factor matches the diameter of some of the brand’s other products, such as the Supersonic r hair dryer, PencilVac, and PencilWash floor cleaner, and is notably narrower than a typical beverage can.
The fan’s upper section features a rotatable nozzle, allowing for air to be directed either straight upwards or at an adjustable angle. This distinctive shape is engineered to dampen higher-pitched frequencies, aiming to provide a more comfortable auditory experience for users.
The HushJet Mini Cool is scheduled for release on April 9th, priced at $99, initially available in a stone/blush color scheme. Additional color options are planned by Dyson, with a carnelian/sky (red) version expected in May, followed by an ink/cobalt (blue) version in June.
Launch accessories will include a charger, which doubles as a stand for the fan, and a lanyard for hands-free portability. Further accessories, such as a stroller mount and a grip clip for attachment to bags or jackets, are anticipated by Dyson for release later in the summer.
